Terms of Service

1. Operator and scope

Scribinx is an independent digital publishing platform for original stories, books and Notes. Current V1 functionality is free. Future premium features or payments, if introduced, will be described separately before use.

The service lets people read public work and lets account holders manage profiles, publish Inx and Notes, interact with content and send messages where available. Registration requires acceptance of the Terms and acknowledgement that you have read the Privacy Notice. Optional analytics consent is separate.

2. Adult accounts and security

You must be at least 18 and have legal capacity to enter the agreement to create an account, publish or use messaging. Provide accurate registration information, an email address you control and an honest age declaration. Do not create accounts for minors or bypass restrictions. Public reading does not require registration.

Keep your password private, maintain access to your email and notify the operator if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for your own use and for permissions you intentionally grant, subject to applicable law. Multiple profiles under one account do not remove account-level obligations.

3. Your ownership and permission to host

You retain copyright and other rights in your work. Submit only material you own or have sufficient permission to use, including text, images, covers and other people's personal data. Do not impersonate an author or present someone else's work as yours.

For the operation of Scribinx, you grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, format, convert and display your submitted content, and to make work you choose to publish available for reading, sharing and supported downloads. The permission is limited to providing the service and displaying your public work in its listings and previews; it does not transfer ownership or authorize unrelated sale or advertising use of your manuscript.

You can stop public availability through supported unpublishing/deletion controls. The licence ends when content is removed from the service, except for limited retention needed for backups, legal obligations or disputes as described in the Privacy Notice. Removal cannot revoke copies already obtained by readers. You can publish elsewhere, subject to your other agreements.

4. Reading and use of other people's work

Public availability or a download button is not a transfer of copyright. You may read and use permitted downloads for personal use, subject to an author's additional valid licence and applicable statutory exceptions. Do not republish, sell, plagiarize or otherwise reuse work without permission or another lawful basis. Linking to public work does not grant ownership of it.

5. Content and conduct rules

Do not submit unlawful content, infringement, threats, targeted harassment, discriminatory abuse, sexual exploitation, doxxing or private information disclosed without a lawful basis. Do not use the service for fraud, spam, impersonation, malware or phishing.

Do not bypass authentication or access controls, misuse recovery links, disrupt the service or evade moderation or rate limits. Authorized security research should be coordinated with the operator. These rules apply to profiles, publications, comments, messages, uploads and promotion requests.

6. Reports, moderation and review

Use available report controls or email the operator with the relevant link, the reason for your report and information supporting it. For copyright reports, identify the work and alleged infringement, explain your authority to act and give contact details. Do not include unnecessary sensitive data. Additional notice and response requirements may apply under local law.

We may investigate, restrict visibility, remove content, pause promotions or restrict/suspend accounts for a breach, legal requirement or serious safety concern. Where lawful and appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to request human review by email. Urgent safety action may precede notice. These terms do not promise round-the-clock monitoring or a moderation response time that has not been established.

7. Messages and public visibility

Respect recipient preferences and blocks. Messaging is not a confidential legal, medical or emergency service and is not end-to-end encrypted. Recipients may retain messages. Public publications and profiles may be indexed, shared, downloaded or cached outside Scribinx; choose carefully what you publish.

8. Promotions and external links

Promotion requests are subject to review and the Advertising guidelines. Submitting a request does not reserve placement, create a payment obligation or guarantee approval, readership or results. Any paid campaign requires separately agreed commercial terms; the current service does not collect payment-card information through a checkout.

Sponsored placements are identified as such. Authors and sponsors may link to external sites, whose content, terms and privacy practices are separate from Scribinx.

9. Ending use and deletion

You can stop using Scribinx and use account settings to request profile or account deletion. Contact the operator if you need help or want to exercise data rights. Unpublishing, deletion requests and complete data erasure are different actions; the Privacy Notice explains the current limitations and backup limitations.

Ending use does not cancel obligations relating to earlier infringements or valid legal claims. We do not claim that ending an account removes every downloaded copy, message held by a recipient or backup immediately.

10. Availability and responsibility

Features may change or be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, faults or security reasons. Keep your own copies of important manuscripts; Scribinx is not a guarantee of permanent archival storage. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, publication success or commercial outcomes.

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any applicable liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence. These terms do not impose a fixed liability cap, blanket indemnity or waiver of statutory remedies.

11. Applicable law and disputes

The operator is based in Serbia. Mandatory rights and legally available local remedies remain available. These terms do not impose exclusive foreign jurisdiction or mandatory arbitration. You may contact us to seek a practical resolution without giving up the right to complain to an authority or use a competent court.

12. Changes, language and contact

The version and update date are shown above. Registration records the supplied Terms version and acceptance time; older records without a version remain unversioned. Material future changes will be communicated appropriately, with renewed acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively grant wider rights in your content.

English and Serbian versions are intended to convey the same terms; neither has automatic priority. Contact [email protected] about inconsistencies, rights, support or these terms. Personal data is addressed separately in the Privacy Notice.
